Announcing New “Friends and Family Discount Program”
Local 745 members will soon be taking
advantage of our considerable strength when they make buying decisions in our
communities, due to a new discount program being offered by Local 745. This
program will give area businesses a chance to receive promotional consideration
through Local 745 in exchange for providing discounts and service specials to
our members. Local 745 will issue Friends and Family Discount cards to all
members and retirees. These cards will be used at area businesses that have
signed up for the program.
Local 745 President Steve Vanderheyden
developed the program initially. “Because our organization touches so many
businesses in the Freeport area, I felt we needed to create partnerships that
our members could take advantage of in their everyday life as consumers,” Steve
commented. “This is long overdue, and we look forward to announcing new partners
each month.”
Each month, a different business will be
featured in our Local 745 newspapers, and Local 745 members will learn how the
card will be honored at each business. The card may be used by anyone in the
household of any member or retiree from Local 745. Local 745 is involved in
adding partners to this program now, with commitments from several businesses.
Members should expect these discounts to be very valuable as the program
continues to build. This month, the program is proud to announce its newest
partner, T's Mobil Repair.
Friends and Family Discount cards can be picked
up at the Union offices at the plant, or at the Local 745 Business Office at
2496 E. Maize Road.
